Well, thats taken care of, my hemotoma got drained yesterday - what a relief of pressure - now its just itchy from the surgigal tape...got home yesterday, made some "drunken" calls and went to bed. Got up in the middle of the night and almost fell over on Greg - that was funny!!! Still felt croggy this morning but ok - very sore so we filled my pain killer prescription. :)
Nice day to have off - Greg and I took full advantage of it - got some lunch and went into Harriman State Park. and sat at a lake - theres so many I don't know which one it was. It was windy but so nice to have an hour of nice weather and great company. We don't get much time like that so it helped!! Oh - and Greg bought me a hat which I found out when I got home - its really gonna be needed soon. I thought the hair I lost last week was bad - guess what......this is no picnic!! I know, its only hair!! But I'll tell you - its starts from the lower region and works its way up and out in a matter of hours - once it gets going!! So, by Monday I will shave my head!!! I am sorry I had chemo BEFORE St. Baldricks - had I known I would have donated my locks :)
Again, each day is a challenge to keep positive but as I have said before, my support system is the best - I couldn't ask for a better husband, kids, parents, sister, brother, sister in law, "My Kathy and My Martha" and all the rest of my friends and family who are constantly asking to help and praying for me!!!
And by the way - without mentioning anyones name I have to thank my Girl Scout Moms - there are 2 especially that have been sooo supportive and helpful..THANK YOU!!!!!!
The outpouring of Love and Support is fabulous!! I am so glad there are still kind people in this world - you make my visions with my rose colored glasses REAL!!!! Thank you!!!
Terry, I am so proud of you.....you are handling this all with such courage. It is also good to see you and Greg enjoying some time together. I know with his schedule it is not always possible. I assume I am the sister-in-law you were referring to in your post (LOL)....love to you all.....I will be in touch during the week.....LOve Donna
